Sofia Coppola Commercial debuts
For those of you watching Gossip Girl tonight, you'll get an extra treat — Sofia Coppola's first-ever commercial, featuring Maryna Linchuk for Miss Dior Cherie fragrance, will be debuting during the show. Coppola directed Maryna as she has a fitting at the Dior atelier in Paris and playfully romps through the city streets, all to Brigitte Bardot's song, "Moi, Je Joue." Below, a hint at what's to come tonight — some behind-the-scene shots, plus Maryna's ads for the fragrance.
Lindsay Opens Up
Lindsay Lohan has been dodging the Samantha questions for months, and now she is finally (still indirectly) responding to them in her interview in Bazaar
On her current relationship: "I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing. I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time . . . She's a wonderful person and I love her very much."
On her family's reaction to Samantha: "It's never really come up as an issue. We're close; we've been through a lot. They're supportive of me whether I'm with a guy or a girl. They're just supportive of me as a person. Ali's known Samantha for a really long time. And she's like, 'Whatever it is, I support you. I probably won't ever do what it is you're doing, but I'm happy for you.' Ali's very mature. I've told her that it's okay to like a boy or a girl if you're comfortable with it and it's something you believe you want to do. And I told her not to be afraid of who she wants to be."
On her father's rude comments toward Samantha: "I would love to say it's surprising, but it's not. It doesn't bother me as much as embarrass and hurt me. And put a knife in my back. And it's hard because I was flipping through channels and someone on E! called him a loser. And that's my f-ing father!"

J. Crew Markets Michele Obama
Michele Obama was recently on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she told the talk show host that she purchased her outfit at J. Crew. This was said in contrast to Sarah Palin's $150,000 wardrobe. Not only is she frugal, Michele has helped the economy by mentioning clothing franchise J. Crew's name. The brand rushed to make the words "Michele" and "Obama" searchable on their website, resulting in the yellow skirt she wore on the show. That item skyrocketed to the most-viewed item on the site yesterday, receiving 464 percent more hits than the day before. Traffic on J.Crew's site as a whole increased 64 percent. They must still be dealing with a traffic spike because the site crashed at some point during the day.
The top and cardigan she wore were far from overlooked. By yesterday afternoon, the J.Crew in Rockefeller Center pulled all the cardigans off the racks to reserve for customers who called that morning and put them on hold.

Sacha Baron Cohen Raids Fashion Week
Sacha Baron Cohen is filming his new movie, Bruno, which stars Cohen as Bruno, a flamboyant gay man. Sacha Baron Cohen managed to get back stage with his camera crew at several shows. WWD describes the incident as "The comedian feigned a fashionista crisis, throwing himself on the floor, appearing to tear off his clothes."
The picture above is of Cohen at Agatha Ruiz De La Prada's show in Milan.

Yogurt Land
It seems as if New York has been blown away by frozen yogurt franchises recently such as Red Mango, Yolato and of course, Pinkberry. For all of you who enjoy these soft serve desserts, here is something to look for. Yogurtland only has one location in New York (so far). Unlike Pinkberry (and it's followers), Yogurtland has tons of flavors including strawberry, peach and chocolate. Yes, you heard correctly, chocolate! Even better, Yogurtland is self serve, meaning you can take as much as you please and mix as many flavors. The toppings are unlimited as well, and include fresh fruit, chocolate chips and more. Once you are done serving yourself, you take your cup to the cashier who weighs it and then charges you $0.39 per ounce, affordable!
Yogurtland is located on 267 Bleeker Street, in Greenwich Village. Check out their website until you get there.

Lindsay's Leggings
It seems like now a-days, every celebrity is spreading their wings into the world of "fashion." Most are unsuccessful in "designing" anything original, yet keep their "designs" quite pricey. (Emphasis on the quotations marks.) These stars include Lauren Conrad, Paris Hilton, Perez Hilton, Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham, Beyonce Knowles, the list goes on. Lindsay Lohan would never let herself be excluded and has decided to create her own line of leggings. She deserves credit for sticking to something she knows. Although her leggings are expensive, she did succeed in being innovative. Knee pads and zippers one spandex is quite cutting edge.

Karl Is the New Face of...Safety?
Richard Chai for Target is Remarkably NICE
Target has been advertising new designer lines for years now, they are all okay, but nothing more than that. Things that you might wear, but won't rush over to an inconveniently located Target store to buy. Richard Chai has raised the bar. His new collection is incredibly stylish and chic, each piece is wearable and quite charming. Entire outfits cost about $90 each, and more can be seen here.

Prada Menswear: Not So Manly
Here are a couple shots from the Prada's fashion show in Milan this week. The show began by revealing some feminine necklines and relatively tight tops. Sure, this was a little strange, but at least the frail models were wearing pants. As the show continued, men began appearing in what seemed to be dresses. Seems like an interesting idea, but it is definitely going to take some time to stick.

Deals: Payless
Have you ever wondered who exactly goes shopping at payless shoe stores? If so, you are not alone. This inexpensive footwear franchise seems like it has been around forever, but not many are brave enough to venture into the overly air-conditioned, disorganized shop whose windows are adorned with diamond covered, last season, tacky shoes, many being knock offs. So far it may sound awful, but when you look past the first few pairs, there are many other incredibly inexpensive finds.
The shoes above are some available online:
1. Toni Sandal, $15.99
2. Graceful Linen bow Mocassin, $24.99
3.Abaeté for Payless Cheyenne Tote, $28.00

Agyness Deyn J.P.G. Commercial
Aggyness Deyn seems to be just about EVERYWHERE now a' days. Her most recent venture is in this commercial for Jean Paul Gaultier's new perfume, Madame. It is pretty hardcore, Aggy looks stunning as always. The background music is almost disturbing, and the flashing words are a bit distracting, but the commercial does leave you wondering what this new perfume smells like, and if Deyn does in fact wear it. It is bizarre to see her sporting long hair, given her history of the traditional cropped cut. The commercial is remarkably similar to one she did for burberry not so long ago.

Sex and the City; the Fashion
If you have seen the new Sex and the City movie, then you are well aware of the jaw dropping fashion displayed by the four New York Socialites. The New York times wrote an amazing article well worth reading if you have seen the film. If you have not, it might not be the best idea given that it does contain a few spoilers.

Sex and the City; Finally
The Sex and the City Movie came out on Friday, and it has been receiving very mixed reviews. In the opinion of a young, NYC blogger, the movie is fantastic. The plot was able to develop on big issues that would not be able to be incorporated into an episode. The characters changed over the course of the four years. The film satisfies the questions and emptiness created by the last episode of the HBO series without being corny. It is the classic "chick-flick," but men can definitely enjoy is as well. There is plenty of genuine humor, and many lessons can be learned.
All in all, the movie is completely worth seeing and highly recommended.
