Sex and the City; Finally

The Sex and the City Movie came out on Friday, and it has been receiving very mixed reviews. In the opinion of a young, NYC blogger, the movie is fantastic. The plot was able to develop on big issues that would not be able to be incorporated into an episode. The characters changed over the course of the four years. The film satisfies the questions and emptiness created by the last episode of the HBO series without being corny. It is the classic "chick-flick," but men can definitely enjoy is as well. There is plenty of genuine humor, and many lessons can be learned.
All in all, the movie is completely worth seeing and highly recommended.

Tyra on the NYT Magazine

Here is a sneak peak at the cover of the upcoming issue of the New York Times Magazine. Sure the first thing you want to talk about may just be Tyra Bank's hair, but what is really stirring a lot of controversy is the talk show host's comparison with other big names. Tyra's name is listed with the philanthropic Oprah Winfrey and the domestic Martha Stewart. It might be a little bit of a push, but Tyra's brand has developed so much over the course of the recent years that she very well may pass both Oprah and Martha. Tyra's success can account for these ladies' shows' drops in ratings. The Tyra Bank's show is geared towards a younger audience and Tyra is willing to make an extra step and "go there" in order to attract viewers.

Goldenbleu sale

Goldenbleu.com is going on a major sale. This well known bag company has recently been featured on the TV drama, "gossip girl." Golden Bleu bags generally retail at about $300 and up, but this sale has some as low as $25!
The slouchy Paige Camel bag is only $99, (was $149)
The large Rebecca bags have been snipped to $259 (were $449)
And here's the deal breaker, the Alba Nero transparent bag has been reduced to $25 (was $149). This functions as a perfect beach bag, or even an every day bag. And it is easily the nicest bags ever made.

Pictures above are in the order of the descriptions
There is plenty more where that came from! Shop away, a deal like this does not come often.

Coldplay: Violet Hill

Here is a new single by the well-known, Alternative, British band, Coldplay. The song is titled "Violet Hill," and is very promising. It has been quite sometime since Coldplay released an album and this single is an excelled comeback. The video slow-paced, artistic and incredibly entertaining. The song is an instant classic, and although Coldplay is not a particularly mainstream group, "Violet Hill" will be big.
Enjoy the video below.

Aggy's Single!

Less than a week ago, it was reported that supermodel Agyness Deyn would be releasing a single that would be her first venture into a career in music.

And now, people can feast their eyes on Who. Agyness looks gorgeous through out the entire video, and it is a pleasure to watch. The music is easy to listen and the artists' voices work very well together.

The song is not really anything that special, it has its downsides; the repetitive lyrics and the not-so-catchy rhythm. All in all, this is an excellent way for anyone to begin a musical career.

Rachel Zoe Rejected

Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist has been rejected from the Met's annual Costume Institute ball, hosted by Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. This party is the most chic, anticipated gala of the year. Everybody influential in the fashion world will be there. This year, that does not include Rachel Zoe. Zoe has styled Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Jennifer Garner, and Kate Hudson.

The event is this upcoming Monday, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Zoe was originally invited as a guest of Bally creative head Brian Atwood, but was then uninvited.

Rachel Zoe released a statement saying that she was in fact invited but it was a personal choice not to attend.
"I was invited by Brian Atwood but wasn't planning on going anyway because of my filming schedule and commitments to clients."

Nice cover up!

The truth is, Rachel Zoe was probably uninvited because of a comment she made earlier this year, undermining the power of Vogue

"Anna Wintour is one of my heroes, but they say that I’m more influential. As great as it is, Vogue won’t change a designer’s business. But if an unknown brand is worn by a certain person in a tabloid, it will be the biggest designer within a week. When I worked with Nicole [Richie], there were things that she wore that designers had to remake for another season because there was such demand."
