Rachel Zoe Rejected

Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist has been rejected from the Met's annual Costume Institute ball, hosted by Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. This party is the most chic, anticipated gala of the year. Everybody influential in the fashion world will be there. This year, that does not include Rachel Zoe. Zoe has styled Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Jennifer Garner, and Kate Hudson.

The event is this upcoming Monday, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Zoe was originally invited as a guest of Bally creative head Brian Atwood, but was then uninvited.

Rachel Zoe released a statement saying that she was in fact invited but it was a personal choice not to attend.
"I was invited by Brian Atwood but wasn't planning on going anyway because of my filming schedule and commitments to clients."

Nice cover up!

The truth is, Rachel Zoe was probably uninvited because of a comment she made earlier this year, undermining the power of Vogue

"Anna Wintour is one of my heroes, but they say that I’m more influential. As great as it is, Vogue won’t change a designer’s business. But if an unknown brand is worn by a certain person in a tabloid, it will be the biggest designer within a week. When I worked with Nicole [Richie], there were things that she wore that designers had to remake for another season because there was such demand."
